PRAXIS
/ˈprak · səs/
Praxis
ACTION UNDER JUDGMENT
Praxis comes from the Greek verb prassein: to do, to act, to carry out. From the beginning, it referred to action in the world the kind that carries consequence.
Aristotle used the term to describe action in civic life, in leadership, in ethics. Praxis was how judgment revealed itself. Not in theory, but in decisions made under pressure, with incomplete information, and real stakes.
CAISSON
/ˈkā · sən/
Caisson
SYSTEMS THAT HOLD UNDER PRESSURE
Caisson comes from the French caisse. In military use, it is the carriage that moves ammunition alongside artillery close enough to sustain operations, controlled enough to withstand pressure.
It is not ornamental. It exists so operations continue when conditions are uncertain and timing is unforgiving.
THE NAME
Praxis Caisson brings these ideas together. Judgment, exercised in the world. Systems, built to support it.
The name reflects a firm grounded in operational understanding and disciplined execution, where alignment, timing, and consequence define the result.
OUR COMPANY
OUR COMPANY
Praxis Caisson was founded by a Commissioned Officer and a Non-Commissioned Officer. That is not a biographical detail. It is the architecture of this firm.
A Commissioned Officer leads where strategic decisions are made, where institutional accountability runs upward and the outcomes you own follow your career permanently. A Non-Commissioned Officer leads where those decisions become real, where authority is earned through daily execution and nothing moves without the complete trust of the people beside you.
Together, that is the full range of how this system actually operates. Most firms understand one end of it. We have operated across all of it, with our names on the outcomes at every level.
